Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was founded in 1945 by Rev. Herbert H. Nagel. It moved to the corner Prospect Avenue and Illinois Street in 1946 and then 1177 Howard Avenue in 1960. It closed in 2021 and is now home to The Foxtail On The Lake restaurant.
